Jamesetta “JR” Russell is a Paralegal for the Law Office of Ruthann P. Lacey, P.C.  As with all other employees of the firm, JR is responsible for maintain complete confidentially for all client matters.  Her duties include, drafting legal documents for attorney review; including, Powers of Attorney, Last Will and Testament, Deed, Trust, Guardianship and Conservatorship petitions, and drafting documents for Probate and Estate administration, notices, and client and court letters.  She also files paperwork with the court and follow-up with client and courts as instructed by the attorney.    She also assists clients appointed as executor, administrator, or trustee as assigned by attorney.

JR is a preacher’s kid and military “brat” who credits living abroad as one of the best experiences of her life.  JR’s legal career began as a teenager in the credit and collections division of Citibank, N.A.  Since then she has utilized her collections, bankruptcy, financial, and auditing training and experience while being employed in the legal and financial arenas.

A recent transplant from California, Ms. Russell has a B.S. in Business Administration from Almeda University and (2) paralegal certificates.  She is a member of the National Notary Association (NNA), National Association of Legal Assistants (NALA), and has a pending application with Georgia Association of Paralegals (GAP).  She is also a licensed minister.

JR is a proud mother of 2 adult children and grandmother to 2 boys.  She is an avid sports enthusiast which keeps her active and ready to banter with the best.  She keeps her mother’s legacy alive with her flair for fashion.  Her hobbies include baking, sewing, and power-walking.
