Elyse was born in Ohio, but grew up in Peachtree City, GA. She attended Starrs Mill High School and received her Bachelors of Science in Political Science with a concentration in Legal Studies from Kennesaw State University. During her studies at Kennesaw, Elyse interned for a family and criminal defense law firm in Marietta, GA.

Elyse played softball for 11 years, receiving a varsity letter her senior year of high school. During this time, Elyse volunteered at the Field of Hope in Peachtree City so kids with special needs could enjoy playing a game of baseball. Through her church, Holy Trinity Catholic Church, she has also volunteered in retirement homes and soup kitchens.

When not at work, Elyse enjoys going on golf cart rides with her wonderful family in Peachtree City or playing with her two dogs, Buddy and Bandit. Although Elyse no longer lives in her hometown of Peachtree City, she spends a lot of time with her family there.
